Bath, Book, Bed

Seven years into parenting and there have only been five nights in those seven years where I have managed to get FOUR hours solid sleep! I love being a mummy so much, I really do, but sleepless nights are hard. I never really thought that they were taking their toll on me until last year (six years into sleepless nights) Robbie was waking up every 30 minutes to 1 hour throughout the night EVERY night. My pulse became really fast and I have ended up on beta blockers to control it! This could simply be down to lack of sleep. I was a walking zombie but I thought I was putting on a good front. I used to get comments such as "How do you cope?" "How do you look so well if you aren't getting any sleep?" - Truth is, I have good make up and I have no choice! I had to get on and deal with it as it wasn't getting any better..... every night was getting worse! We have always had a 7pm bedtime rule but that really didn't mean much to Robbie, as we kn...

"Your baby has Laryngomalacia"!!!????

I will explain a little about my labour, maybe a detailed explanation might go up in the future but lets put it like this, it was not nice and after suffering from an Irritable Uterus throughout my pregnancy followed by a 42 hour labour and a scary ending but I got the beautiful Tillie Bean so was worth every second! Basically the cord was wrapped around her neck twice and right round her body. She had the hiccups so much during pregnancy and I am wondering if this does have a connection to the problem which was about to be revealed! I remember a few nights after Tillie was born hearing a strange noises when she was breathing, I had to stay in hospital for a few nights as I needed a blood transfusion, I buzzed the nurse to check about her breathing but was told 'it is just mucous on her lungs it is very common it won't last long'. Even as a new mum I thought that this wasn't the case, but who was I to argue. This 'mucous' was getting louder and louder and by...

Fake Tan and an old Lady stuck on a roof, holiday memories!

What a lovely few days of sunshine we have had and even better the fact that my solar urticaria has stayed away! I can never do anything normal! I don't just get urticaria I have to have the one where it looks like im a dinosaur and then feel really poorly with it! (Going abroad is a big no no!) I was about to write a review of a farm we took Tillie to on Tuesday, but writing about the sun reminded me of the first holiday away with Nick, we went to Majorca. I researched online (like I do with everything! I HAVE to find the best bargain!) any way I eventually contacted a local travel company and after them sending me lots of hotels to look at, I decided to pick the only 4* hotel which looked beautiful and ticked all the boxes, it was by the beach, had a pool, was a few minutes’ walk from the town (which turned out to be magaluf! ARGHH but we hadn't got Tillie then so it wasn't a problem), all inclusive, English speaking, sea view room - sorted! I am a redhead so natura...
